The Dark Cloud

Every now and then I get a visit from her,

She rains on me,

Clouds my brain with dark thoughts,

Smothers me with half truths,

Brings out my deepest fears,

That still -

I am not safe, not loved & not free,

She blocks the path to all the things I want,

Trapping me in the middle of a complex labyrinth with

No

Where

To

Go,

No Options.

Helplessness ensues,

Loneliness,

A hard shell of hatred covers me,

This world is cold.

I want to warm it.

I cryyyyyyy,

Laying until I can’t stand myself anymore,

I notice the cloud slowly drift,

Sitting in the mud,

Looking up,

I Feel soft again,

I … remember.
