The sweet escape pt 2 in Vermont. Honestly the trip was good, this liminal space where you are holding on to the good but seeing why it doesn’t work at the same time is intense. Learning to hold space for “I love you AND I know we will never work” is really hard. There were many precious parts of this relationship that made it hard for me to let go. But I couldn’t romanticize the disconnection we experienced on a day to day basis anymore. It was the best lesson for me to learn that not every lover should be a partner.
